# The Biggest Release of BentoPDF yet!

**This is the biggest release of BentoPDF**. BentoPDF can now edit text, image, shapes in BentoPDF and there are two new engines **Kura** and **Hyper Compress**. Detailed Explanation is below.

## PDF Text Editing

BentoPDF can now edit the actual text inside a PDF.  You can click any paragraph and type. Text reflows live, fonts and styling are preserved, and everything runs entirely in your browser, as always.

* **Edit in place** with live reflow, real font matching, and word wrap that follows the original layout

  1. VPSを契約する ― ConoHa VPS 1GBを選び、OSは Ubuntu を推奨
  2. Docker を入れる ― 多くのVPSはアプリテンプレートから1クリック。無ければ curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh
  3. BentoPDF を起動 ― 上の compose ファイルを置いて docker compose up -d
  4. ドメインとHTTPS ― Caddy か Nginx Proxy Manager でリバースプロキシ（Let's Encrypt 自動）。独自ドメインが無ければ XServer ドメイン で取得（PR）

BentoPDF はオープンソースで、ソフト自体は無料です。自分のサーバー（VPSなど）で動かす場合はサーバー代（月額数百円〜）がかかります。

BentoPDF は日本語で使えますか？

UIの日本語化は「99%」です（翻訳ファイル public/locales/ja/tools.json）。

BentoPDF を商用利用できますか？

ライセンスは AGPL-3.0 です。AGPL は社内利用や自社サービスのバックエンドとしての利用は可能ですが、改変してネットワーク越しに提供する場合はソース公開義務があります。SaaSとして再販する場合は注意してください。

Adobe Acrobat から BentoPDF に移行できますか？

Adobe Acrobat のエクスポート機能でデータを書き出し、BentoPDF 側のインポート機能で取り込むのが基本です。対応形式はバージョンによって異なるため、公式ドキュメントで確認してください。Adobe Acrobat の他の代替は「Adobe Acrobat のオープンソース代替」ページで比較できます。
