OpenSearch は Elasticsearch 7.10 から分岐し、AWS 主導で開発されている検索・分析エンジンです。Apache-2.0 ライセンスで、ダッシュボード（OpenSearch Dashboards）、セキュリティ、ベクトル検索などを標準で含みます。

Elasticsearch のライセンス変更を避けたい場合の受け皿として使われています。
